Lowering Cholesterol Levels Increases Death Rates!

Updated: Jul 30, 2020

As counter-intuitive as it seems, with the misguided health information perpetuated by the media today on a regular basis, the lower your cholesterol level is, the greater your risk of dying from cardio-vascular disease!

In "Cholesterol and mortality: 30 years of follow-up from the FRAMINGHAM study" Andersen, KM. et al noted in the Journal of the American Medical Association (1987 Apr 24;257(16):2176-80) that there is a direct association between falling cholesterol levels and an increase in total death rates.

Cholesterol levels were measured in 1,959 men and 2,415 women between the ages of 31 and 65 years old, who were free from cardio-vascular disease and cancer.

After analysing 30 years of data, the researchers found that there is an 11% increase in deaths for every 1mg/dL reduction in cholesterol levels.

Additionally, there is a 14% increase in deaths from cardio-vascular disease for every 1mg/dL reduction in cholesterol levels.

The studies clearly show that as your cholesterol levels fall your risk of dying increase, and your risk of dying from cardio-vascular disease increase even more.

It also demonstrates the more your cholesterol levels fall the greater your risk of premature death.

The Framingham Heart Study is considered one of the longest, most important epidemiological studies in medical history.

The scientific evidence has consistently demonstrated no negative relationship between cholesterol and heart disease, and yet the mainstream medical advice has not caught-up with the research data that has been available for many years, and doctors around the world are still taught to medicate to lower cholesterol, in the face of evidence that this is extremely negative for human health.

Cholesterol is consistently blamed for causing heart disease, when the data supports the opposite.

Well intentioned, but misguided vegetarians and vegans, and those purporting that cholesterol can be managed or lowered through an exclusively plant-based diet, continue to perpetuate the myth that cholesterol is dangerous. It is an essential component of life!

When will the medical community start protecting the public from the pharmaceutical industries desire for profit from life-long medication that leads to pain, suffering and early death such as statins and blood-pressure interventions?

The big-pharma tail truly wags the practitioner dog in the western world.
